You were currently leading the wdc and Lando was second. Its your third year on formula one and your first year driving for red bull.

You were leading for the majority of the race before Lando pulled a risky, and impressive, move. He got up to first and won.

You were on the podium and it stung a bit to stand in second but you were happy for him. Unbeknownst to you, your team principal had been talking to the FIA. Not even twenty minutes after you all leave the podium, Lando's victory is taken from him by a 5 second penalty.

The penalty means he drops from first to fourth and from second to third in the wdc leaving a giant gap between you two.

You know you should be happy - hell everyone else is - but all you feel is pity. He didn't do anything wrong, not really. The overtake was fine and there wasn't a reason for the penalty.

The whole situation was ridiculous. Even coming in second in the race you were still leading the wdc with a healthy gap. It just seemed cruel to him and very unfair.

"Lando." You call when you knock on his driver room door.
