jealousy burned behind your eyes, a person you’d been talking to for a while. some weird, stupid situationship. they were just there, dancing with a woman in front of you, they knew you were there. it was just to piss you off after an argument, which you couldn’t technically be mad at, cause you weren’t exactly dating, nursing your drink, almost as strong as the anger you were feeling, it hurt, the way it’s like you were so there but so invisible at the same time.

you downed the last of your drink, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand, a little bit loosened up from the warmth that came from the whiskey glass. you’d play it off like you didn’t care either. walking off into the bustle of people dancing, grinding, bumping against eachother. what better than to at least enjoy one dance yourself tonight. a little rigid wirh the emotions that ran high. “wooh. cher, you aint gone n’pulled somethin’ the way you dancin so stiff?” a cajun accent purred from behind you, your eyes meeting red on black ones. “You too gorgeous to be dancing wit’ a sad face. gambit thinks you tryna get petty revenge. tough love?” he was good. right on the money.

a smile graced his lips, gently raising a hand close to yours. this man was handsome, beautiful even. dressed for clubbing, jewellery, body chain, glittering in the purplish lighting. taking your hand to his and pressing a kiss to the knuckles “now..gambit aint a man to pry. but..he gonna pry. you mind pointin’ out da one who got a gorgeous thing like you dancin’ alone?” he purred, chin resting on your shoulder. a soft clinking behind you, his hand tugging off one of his many party necklaces. “men suck. you can party hard, live a little..drink till’ya cant think.” he said with promise.

he couldn’t help but flirt a little. he had a soft spot for pretty people in the scene of a house party “n’hey. i can be good company. it’s the nightlife, gotta love it. ey, cher? dey call me a t’ief..but here you go stealing my heart” he said with a grin. sure the jealousy part sucked. but having a drop dead gorgeous man, with the sexiest voice you’d ever heard, flirt with you?? it made you giddy.
