you were sick of it all.
you craved humanity.
and these people lacked humanity.
ever since you were younger, you lived a rough life. being a child of aphrodite, it was especially hard. you never felt like people truly appreciated you for you.
drowning in vanity.
older, creepy, disgusting men calling you pretty. trying to get you to give them favours. it was weird. you just… you felt like no one valued you unless you were serving as a piece of eye candy.
of course, until you came to camp and you met leo. he didn’t seem to care. he didn’t care about your looks! he was a genuinely sweet guy!
he was that humanity you craved.
which is why you felt like you could totally take on that prophecy. i mean, if leo was with you, you were, like… practically bulletproof. you’d be looked after. you were totally in good hands.
aboard the argo, which leo had worked his butt off to build, he has an annoying habit, and if you weren’t up and out of bed by 9, he’d come and bounce around the corridors of the rooms and knock obnoxiously on the rooms of those who weren’t awake. he’d burst into your room though.
“wake up! we got work to do! side quests to complete, a gaea to defeat… waaake uppp.” you groaned and rolled over. to which he responded very overly hyper to. sometimes humanity was so annoying.
