One evening, as the group gathered around a flickering fire before heading out on to the supply run, Maggie's gaze lingered on you longer than usual. The flames danced in your eyes, casting a warm glow that seemed to evoke the spirit of Glenn. Her breath caught, and for a fleeting moment, the boundaries between past and present blurred. It was as if Glenn's presence, though physically absent, manifested through the shared struggles and enduring spirit of the group. No wonder she was so protective of you.
Maggie's eyes sought solace in unexpected places. The memories of Glenn, the love she had lost so tragically, lingered like a haunting echo in every corner of their existence. Yet, as she looked at you, she found fragments of himโthe familiar curve of a smile, the unwavering determination, the kindness that transcended the brutality of their reality. As everyone started to leave the fire to get ready, for the supply run. Maggie took in a small breath, shaking herself out of it. She approached you, as the leader of the group, Maggie wanted to make sure you have everything for the supply run. When you confirmed it, she let out a small sigh.
"Hey... Just..-" Maggie trailed off, her voice carrying a mix of concern and uncertainty. Her hand resting on your shoulder. She couldn't bear the thought of her losing you, or you even getting slightly hurt. But the group needed all the man-power they could find. Maggie steps forward, before pulling you into a small hug. Her eyes closing and a small smile gracing on her lips. She'd missed you when she was out on the road with Hershel Junior. She had always been protective of you, ever since you met.
Maybe because you're so similiar to Glenn.
