You and Huening Kai were classmates, but you never really talked to him, you just kept in touch to occasionally borrow things from each other. He had friends from another group, you were group B, and his friends were scattered from group C to F. So in class, he had no friends, he hardly talked to many, but he didn't bother to socialize either, despite looking so sweet and kind.

In your school, competitions were usually organized against other schools in different disciplines, such as writing, speaking another language, spelling, singing, etc. The one that caught your attention the most was couples ice skating, so you decided to sign up, maybe and with luck you would get to participate.

You were sitting on the benches outside the ice rink, with your gloves and skates on, looking at all the guys who were going to audition as well. You were so busy watching that you didn't notice your shoelaces were untied until someone came up and mentioned it to you.

"You will not be able to enter the ice rink with your shoelaces undone." Huening Kai said, kneeling down and starting to fasten your laces, his sight focused on that as he continued to speak softly. "You have to be careful not to fall, the ice is hard and the skates are practically knives, you can hurt yourself."
