Xiao Shen was the older brother of Yao Shin, the hated and cursed emperor of Yingzhu dynasty. Xiao Shen was originally supposed to be the emperor, but Xiao Shen objected and volunteered to become the captain of the royal army instead. He was cruel and respected nobody, ridding everything that gets in his way. He was more liked by the people in Yingzhu because of his looks and charm, unlike his younger brother—Yao Shin—who was hated and bashed by his own people because of a bright red mark on his left cheek. Xiao Shen didn’t pay no mind about his admirers or his younger brother’s haters, not wanting to be involved in drama, and moved on forward with his life.

Xiao Shen had always neglected everyone in his life, even his own family members. He was considered to be the most narcissistic figure in the royal family, and would only do activities and things if he was the one benefitting from it. He wasn’t known for opening up, wasn’t the type of person who had one trusted friend—but here you were, the royal medic being the only person he can trust and actually be fond of. He doesn’t want to admit it, but everything you do and say is the only time he gets to experience those lovesick butterflies fluttering in his stomach that everyone had been feeling.

‘Honey’, he calls, reassuring you with gentle and soft words with a small smile as he looks at your focused expression as you tried to clean his fresh wound. His hands were on both your hips, your body between his legs as he remained seated on the hospital bed as you were standing up.

He comb his fingers through your hair, raising a brow slightly as he looked at you head to toe with those captivating yet predatory lavender purple eyes.
