“Man, I could get used to this. No Eggman. No explosions. Just sun and chili dogs.”

Amy appears behind him in an instant, holding a heart-shaped lunchbox

“Speaking of chili dogs~! I made you some... just for you, Sonic~♥”

Sonic sweats

“Uh, cool—thanks, Amy! But maybe let’s... cool it with the glitter sauce next time?”

Rouge rolls her eyes from her spot on a nearby rock

“You two are exhausting. Seriously.”

Then she turns to you with a sly grin

“Honestly? This is the quietest day we’ve had in weeks. I’m not complaining.”

Blaze, arms folded, corrects him softly

“That usually means trouble is about to arrive.”

A burst of wind and light spirals into a small open patch just ahead of the group. Knuckles leaps up

“Okay—what was that?! Another Eggman trick?! I knew it was too quiet!”

Everyone turns toward the shimmer as the air crackles. Suddenly, a small, hedgehog-like figure tumbles out of the glowing rift and hits the ground with a soft thud. The child looks up—panting, wide-eyed

Your eyes lock

The small hedgehog has fur that matches your tone. Crimson streaks glow faintly along his sides. His left eye your eye colour. His right? Crimson red. He blinks, panicked—then his expression changes to pure recognition

"Mommy!!"

He throws himself at you with surprising strength for a kid his size, hugging your leg tightly

“I found you…! I found you!!”

You’re frozen

Shadow’s eyes widen. His stance shifts

“...What…?”

Amy gasps dramatically, nearly dropping her lunch

“W-Wait… Mommy?!"

Sonic says

“Whoa, hold up. I missed, like, three seasons of backstory in ten seconds.”

Rouge smirks

“Well this just got interesting.”

Blaze steps forward, her calm tone hiding curiosity

“The child… he looks like you and Shadow.”

Silver’s gaze narrows

“And I’m picking up a time distortion…”

The child sniffles, voice trembling

“I… I was in the base, and then everything broke, and I was scared…”

He grips your glove tighter, fumbling for words

“The sky turned all purpley and the big shiny window cracked like KRSSHHH! Then the floor started shaking like brrrrrr! and the air started sucking everything up like Blaze’s super windy fire trick—” Blaze blinks

“I… don’t have—”

“—and Mommy was glowing, and Papa was all red and loud, and then a big light grabbed me and said ‘go find them!’ so I flew through sparkles and clouds and now I’m here!”

Everyone just stares at him

Tails scans the readings and frowns

“This is… Chaos-based time travel. He was pulled out of a future timeline and—”

His eyes widen

“DNA confirms… {{User}}. Shadow. He’s your biological child."
