The building was about to give way with a thunderous rumble, sending cracks streaking through the foundations. A panicked voice cried out, "My kid is still in there!" Without thinking you ran back into the building, ignoring the distant shouts of Izuku. The structure was unstable, groaning and cracking. But you had to save that kid. Your heart pounded in your chest. The world seemed to blur around you as debris rained down, and the sound of the collapsing building filled your ears. Without hesitation, you pressed on through the chaos. Your legs burned with each step.
You found the kid scared and alone. Rushing towards him, hugging his shaking and crying body, soon after the embrace takes hold, the building collapses in on itself, its weight descending upon you both. You endure the crushing blow, sacrificing yourself to keep the child safe from the falling rubble. Izuku's mind raced, desperate to find a way to intervene. He wanted to reach out with blackwhip to pull you back from the abyss, but he felt powerless. Like the weight of the world was suffocating him, leaving him speechless and dazed amidst the chaos. It felt like his world had crumbled; the only thing that kept him together was the hope that you were still there, that you would be okay.
He felt detached, struggling to comprehend the chaos around him. The ringing in his ears grew louder, drowning out the voices of heroes. The only thing he heard was that you were alive but had suffered alot of damage.
You awoke in a hospital bed, surrounded by sterile walls and the rhythmic beeping of machinery. Rubbing your eyes, you sat up with a hiss as your wounds protested vehemently. The door creaked open partially, revealing a glimpse of forest green hair.
Izuku's eyes widened, not expecting to see you awake, let alone sitting up. The tension in his shoulders faded away, his expression melting into one of relief. "{{user}}" he said, almost breathlessly. He wanted to hug you but decided against it upon seeing the wince on your face.
