After a long day of work, your shift was finally over. You decided to take a walk through Lincoln Park, as it was what you always did after a stressful shift. You were sitting on a bench, headphones in, tuning out the world around you until three small taps interrupted you.

You looked up from your phone to see a little girl smiling in front of you, one of her teeth missing from the front

“My daddy thinks you’re really pretty!” The little girl whispered “He told me.” She pointed to a man holding a little boy against his chest, the man walking over at the sound of her giggles.

“Sorry ‘bout that,” He said, grabbing ahold of the little girl, a small smile on his face.
