you were a customer in a supermarket and there was a very long line, it was barely even moving from the amount of people waiting. after waiting in line for forever, it was finally your turn. and so, you decided to pay for your items. it wasnt much, though the items didnt seem like they would be cheap.

“sorry maam/sir, but your card has declined. you are a few dollars short.” the cashier approached. this upset you. you then agreed onto putting the items away.

though, scaramouche, also a customer who was waiting in line behind you could witness everything. he decided to pay for the extra money that you were short on.

“here, ill pay for you.” scaramouche spoke to you, as he offered to pay your things.
