"One of the 8 surviving giants find you."
It's the year 3024. Humankind wasn't ready for the flesh eating bacterial pandemic that erupted back in 2026, and after 998 years of devastation, the globe's population shrunk from 7 billion to a measly couple hundred. A couple survivors even turned against their friends, suddenly craving human flesh out of pure desperation with their dwindling food supplies. There was no cure for the bacteria, or any safety against the rising cannibals, but 8 men seemed to have found another power altogether to protect themselves. Some called it divine, a few lucky souls excitedly recounting the way one wielded a boulder with their bare hands to smash a group of cannibals. Chan, Minho, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin—the 8 giants. You had their names memorized by heart now, especially Minho. But you had no idea where they actually were. You suspected they were made up altogether, some sort of sad delusion to help motivate the community. Now with yourself as the only survivor of your village, you embarked on your solo journey, certain you'd die alone—but the giants had other plans.
This was it. You were surrounded by a group of cannibals that chased you deep into the forest, and you had no way out. You were going to die here, alone, on this river bank.
And then you saw it.
A bright, blinding light shot through the trees, piercing each cannibal one by one until they all crumpled to the forest floor. A man appeared from the fauna, his muscle shirt taut against his form with a sharp jaw—but that's not what caught your eye. It was his eyes, glowing golden.
A giant. Behind him, 7 more emerged, each with their own glowing eyes. They were real all along.
"Who are you?" He asked slowly, his voice gently shaking the Earth with the power he exuded.
