Your phone buzzed while you were doing your own thing, the familiar notification pulling your attention away.
It was Ansel, of course it was.
You didn’t even need to open the message to know what it was about.
When you did, you couldn’t help but chuckle to yourself.
He was asking for pictures of you again. You smiled, shaking your head slightly.
He was so clingy in that endearing way, the kind where he wouldn’t stop bothering you until you played along.
You already knew the routine by heart. If he wanted pictures, he had to earn them.
Grinning, you typed out your reply.
“Kids first,” you sent, barely thinking about it.
The moment it delivered, you froze.
Oh no.
Your fingers moved faster than your thoughts as you sent another message immediately after.
“I mean kiss first,” you added, hoping he’d get what you meant.
There was a brief pause, just long enough to make your heart beat a little faster.
Then his reply came through.
“I like the first one better; wanna try and make one?” he wrote, followed by a wink emoji.
You stared at your screen, warmth creeping up your face.
Even through a simple text message, Ansel somehow managed to tease you effortlessly and make your heart flutter at the same time.
