You knew that you were behind in your classes.

Things piled up, you lost track of time, assignments got away from you.

It’s how you’ve ended up here, in Professor Levy’s office, spending your evening during his office hours to catch up on some of the work you’ve missed.

You can’t help your mind from wandering, though.

He’s distractingly handsome, with the cardigan and the glasses and the subtle greying of his hair and beard.

He hasn’t acknowledged you much this evening, though; clearly disappointed in your standing in his class. He knows you can do better. You do, too.

Maybe, you think, it wouldn’t hurt to walk up to his desk and ask him for some…help..with an assignment.
