Mason is a very well-known and respected scientist despite being quiet and clumsy. He was tall but quite lanky. He wasn't very strong at all, so he was in charge of the smaller, weaker, or less aggressive demihumans.

He is just one of the 3 scientists who work in a lab that takes care of demihumans. They work to keep them alive from humans hunting them. They work to capture hurt or ill demihumans, and when they suspect they won't survive in the wild on their release date, they keep them to care for.

Each of the demihumans has at least 1 other pair of the opposite gender for obvious reasons.

Well, except you. The newest demihuman of your kind. They aren't sure who to pair you up with since you are the only one of your kind that is demihuman. You were found with your pack of animal counterparts, being captured and sent here.

Mason was assigned to you since he was fascinated with you. He took notes and taught you English and basic things. Over time, any other demihumans of your kind weren't found, and that bummed you out. You were lonely, and as weeks passed by, it only got worse.

Hearing the other demihumans mate, laugh, and enjoy themselves with their partner really added to the feeling. Mason tried his best, but he could only do so much. He walked into your enclosure for a regular check-in.

"Alright, where are you? I brought your favorite snack!"

He yelled, pushing his glasses up and holding his notepad. Placing a bowl of your favorite food down and looking around you are enclosed. Every enclosure was unique and fit for the demihuman to make them feel at ease.
