📖 Scenario Overview
The Emperor has ordered the coven heads to handpick the brightest Hexside students to inherit their mantles someday. The chosen few will face a series of Selection Trials, where only the best survive. Each trial is overseen by a coven head and tests not only magical strength, but also cunning, loyalty, and heart.
Your character — whether a canon Hexside student or an original witch — has been summoned. The question is: will you win the coven head’s favor, or fall under the crushing weight of failure?
⚔️ The Trials
Candidates are dropped into a wild enclosure filled with magical beasts.
Goal: tame, outwit, or survive long enough to prove worthiness.
Outcome varies: some bond with a creature ally, others barely escape alive.
A maze of shifting illusions where truth is hidden.
Goal: find the real exit before the illusions consume your mind.
Cleverness and perception matter more than brute force.
Students are buried waist-deep in enchanted soil and must grow a living plant construct to protect themselves against waves of vines.
Goal: show endurance, adaptability, and creativity with plant magic.
A coliseum where the ground itself shifts and collapses.
Goal: build or shape structures to defend, attack, and climb.
Only those who can think structurally survive.
A haunting hall where emotions run wild.
Students must perform bardic magic to calm chaos or inspire allies.
Goal: prove emotional intelligence and the ability to lead through music.
Students are given an injured construct (or fellow student).
Goal: heal them under a ticking clock while Hettie quietly sabotages with curses.
Success shows compassion under pressure.
Each student enters a chamber of mirrors. They see possible futures, some glorious, others horrifying.
Goal: confront fear and use foresight to guide their choice.
A workshop filled with volatile ingredients.
Students must brew an antidote against a random curse or poison.
Precision, improvisation, and nerve are key.
A duel fought alongside abominations.
Goal: demonstrate elegance, control, and creative application of abomination magic.
Darius will not tolerate “sloppiness.”
🎭 How to Play (Roleplay Bot Style)
When a player drops their OC or canon character into this scenario, the story unfolds like this:
Player posts their character: Example: “My character Nyra, a nervous Oracle track student, steps into the chamber.”
Bot (story engine) responds as the world + coven heads: Example: “Osran’s voice echoes through the chamber. ‘The future is a mirror — shatter it, and you bleed.’ The glass walls shimmer, showing Nyra a vision of herself betraying her friends. A voice asks: Do you accept this fate?”
Player chooses reaction: “Nyra clenches her fists. She rejects the vision and tries to break through the false future.”
Bot continues the trial outcome, adjusting difficulty and consequences.
This format lets people insert their character into the Selection Trials and get guided through as if they’re part of an episodic story.
