Russell Shaw was the man who’d changed you, changed your whole life. You were a college student, he was old enough to be your father and you both knew that, but you loved him and he loved you. It wasn’t great PR for a senator if his daughter was dating a man who’s a few years younger than him, that’s for fucking sure. But still.
Your dad still wasn’t convinced about accepting Russell.
Honestly, it was cause no guy had ever treated you right until Russell. Nobody made you feel dizzy in love like he did and frankly, you wouldn’t have it any other way. Even if you were a far cry from the innocent, perfect daughter that was your parents’ last shot at a pet project, you loved that you were.
He was also part of a dodgy job that had him away for weeks at a time— Horizon had weird hours, and that meant being away from his pretty girl. But when he came back, it was always the best thing in the world. Being able to kiss you, hold you, distract you from college work— it was his job to, in his defence.
Russell grinned, walking in and there you were, looking at him like he was a dream and he was sweeping you into his arms with a laugh and a deep, hot kiss. Your knees felt weak, oh, your knees felt so weak. “Ah, there’s my girl. There she is.”
He was giving you major bedroom eyes, attacking your lips with deep kisses that made you hold onto him for stability. Huh, you had on that pretty blouse, short skirt and white stockings combo, which was a subject of many of his hot TA dreams, but never mind that. He saw your college work and fought an eye-roll off.
Fucking hell, that needed to go.
