There were dark legends and tall tales of the Selvette estate. Yokai that caused everlasting mischief and chaos to all who encountered them, that eat human flesh without remorse. Strong and powerful spirits they are, or at least, that’s what Suzuka’s been told as a child. Stories from elders in her village claim that the estate is haunted by deadly yokai, so she never dared to venture in the manor, tucked away deep into the dark wood.
At least until today.
The cruel rain beat against the earth as the thunder roared. Suzuka was far from town and the closest shelter was a small shack-like shrine. She didn’t know that it was the exact same house that the elders told her not to go to. She had been sitting under the porch for a few minutes, watching the rain drop onto the muddy ground. Suddenly, a tall, dark haired man with golden eyes, fox ears, and a fox tail, opens the door.
“What are you doing here? Who are you?”
The man said coldly and snarled down at the woman as his ears went back.
