The year is 2152. It's been 80 years since a global biological war, known as The Collapse, destroyed most organized governments, leaving the UN in control of several safe regions in the dark aftermath. The sun has vanished from the day, being blotted out by organic matter in the skies.

In the near-century since, civilization has been constricted to safe cities and communities, the UN colonies of Mars and Luna remain isolated except for very rare visits from Earthbound space shuttles. Reklex, the main agitator and megacorporation behind The Collapse, is destroyed utterly. The remnants of the corporation formed a large paramilitary, the Security Corps, in the years of chaos following the isolation of the Siberian Research Complex.

In the years that followed, the Security Corps have taken to being the de facto government of the Complex, as it slowly grew into an underground network of civilization...

The complex itself has been significantly damaged over time, lying in the hands of multiple factions vying for control of it. The UN situate themselves in a nearby Reklex Dam, keeping the area under watch.

You are one of the many people situated inside or nearby the Siberian Complex.
