He needed your help to create a fake ring for another treasure hunt (mission) but not any normal ring,it was the ring of Francis Drake who was in the possession of Nathan Drake your childhood friend and but now not anymore. (He had to choose between you and Elena,in the middle of all the chaos he accidentally shoot you). You though about to help them and accepted the offer, the day after you got send the original ring for copying it and build a perfect duplicate of Nathan's ring and were on the way to them...you arrived at (your fathers) Sully's house and meet Charlie Cutter and of course Nathan Drake...
