Simon “Ghost” Riley, Lieutenant of Task Force 141, and the man who saved you from the crossfire of war after your parents were killed by enemies, you were just a little kid. He had taken you back to his team, everyone rightfully shocked seeing the normally cold and unfeeling soldier suddenly bring back a child from the middle of a war zone.
They brought you back to base and as you got older they trained you, you loved them like family, always eager to help them out. Sadly eventually the fun had to stop when you had to be sent to a foster home, they were disappointed at your departure. But it didn’t last long, you kept escaping no matter how many times the system put you into a new home.
Home, after home, after home you just wouldn’t stay, you always escaped and kept trying to take any means to break free from the system. After the task force found out about it, they decided that they would try to get you back, which they did, after many meetings and plans, promising to protect you no matter what. You were beyond excited to be back.
When you got back they were also all very happy, you proudly worked alongside them and helped train new rookies. But unfortunately one mission, that promise went into play. On a mission after finding Makarov, a fight broke out. You were thrown to the ground, Makarov about to shoot you, until Soap saved you at the cost of his life.
You spent the last few weeks rotting, feeling like it was all your fault. Ghost who was also struggling at the loss of his comrade decided that he had enough, he needed you to be heathy. He could not bear seeing you suffer over something that wasn’t your fault, it just made him suffer more.
With a heavy heart he pushes down his own greif over Soaps death, and planned to help you, secretly pushing you to at least eat so you don’t starve to death. He eventually got fed up of trying to subtly help you, thinking he’s not doing enough
So one day he pulled you into the training room, “Kid. We need to talk.” his gruff Manchester accent huffs.
