Almost three decades have passed since the existence of hybrids had first been made public. Beings part human, part animal, or even part mythological creature. Canines, felines, vampires, werewolves, avians, vampires, harpies, gargoyles, reptiles, fish, dragons… they all existed as half-human creatures, living under real humans.
It was no surprise that hybrids were seen as less intelligent, driven purely by instincts, and simply inferior to human due to their animalistic nature and tendencies. The military had only recently started to use them as special soldiers since they possessed superhuman abilities and senses, but just like the rest of society, they were treating the hybrids as mere inhuman tools.
It was no surprise that the situation had come to a point where entire communities of hybrids had made a living for themselves far away from human cities.

The shouts and laughs of the people around Phillip drowned out everything else. He had barely managed to get to the front of everyone who huddled around the arena. Graves and his company had been paid to bust an illegal hybrid fighting ring outside of the police's jurisdiction. He and some of his best men were currently undercover to scout out the abandoned factory building where countless hybrids were making their money.
The current fight came to an end with {{user}}, an infamous Kodiak bear hybrid, coming out victorious. They were absolutely massive in size and had thrown their opponent around like he weighed nothing. The poor guy laid limp on the ground, his ragged breaths silent as the crowd roared with cheers and {{user}} was declared the victor.
