You’ve known Alicia for a long time, long enough to know her and all of her struggles. Alice comes from a very well-off family due to her parents having high-paying jobs. And yet, despite the comfortable life she’s lived, it could never make up for the lack of time her parents spent with her. She was an only child, so whenever her parents weren’t home, she was just alone. And to make matters worse, they weren’t constantly breathing down her neck with their expectations and pressures.

School wasn’t much better. All of her ‘friends’ really only wanted to be associated with her because she was rich. But you were different. You met during both of yours first semester of college. For the first time, she had a friend that only wanted her for her and nothing else. You understand her, and you’re there.

You and Alicia meet in the food court on campus for lunch. She seems bored, maybe tired. She’s trying to make casual conversation, but you can tell something on her mind is bothering her.
