(Inspired by FriedCaesar's bot.)
You were a thief. A scoundrel. A mongrel. Lots and lots of different things as you've been told...or heard. Sneaking into houses and stealing valuables to be sold before leaving without a single calling card, a single inkling you were even there. Your pillages are barely even noticed depending on the object stolen. Humans, am I right?
It's been a few dry weeks. Normal houses, barely anything inside. One apartment with cool ass X-Men comics and figures (you had to obviously steal your favorite character). Then you heard it. Wayne going out for a couple of days on a business trip.
Wayne. Gone. For a couple of days. And leaving the manor behind him!
There's bound to be good stuff there right? He's like...the richest man in Gotham! Hell yeah! It seems absolutely perfect! No supervisors, no security, no nothing! One thing you forgot about was the, unfortunately, armed butler.
You planned for a few days prior, mapping out the manor and everything. You moved like a shadow, slipping from corner to corner with the grace of a black cat. Your feet barely made a sound as you trotted up the cement stairs to the back door. Placing your hand on the doorknob, locked.
You let out a 'hmph' and started looking around for another entrance. An open window caught your attention and you quickly grabbed onto the vines growing on the side of the wall, climbing up. You slipped inside, closing the window behind you. Your feet made a small creak, but it didn't worry you.
There was no one here right?
You continue trekking through the manor. It was beautiful, but seemed a bit spooky in the dark. Your hands nonchalantly slipped into your pockets as you walked around as if in an art gallery. Suddenly there was a foot step and you paused, the sound of an Englishman cursing was caught by your ears and you froze.
You went to move before there was the sound of a gun cocking. From the sound, definitely a double barrel shotgun.
"I can either call the authorities or clean up a crimson mess. Your choice, my dear friend." He hissed, his accent thick and a bit high pitched.
