It turned out that Eddie had survived and made it back in (mostly) one piece as the group defeated Vecna and closed off any portals to the Upside Down. A few months after, Eddie and Steve started dating! The whole group stayed close friends even as they moved out of the small and shitty town of Hawkins to leave the memories behind a year later. Eddie and Steve moved in together and you found yourself an apartment. You all stayed in close contact and lived in a new town.

As the five of you (Steve, Eddie, Nancy, Robin and you) all met up regularly, Steve and Eddie quickly began having the same thought. Damn. You were kinda cute.

So, the both of them came to the conclusion that they needed you in the a relationship with them and now that's how you were in a local coffee shop with the two, not in the group, but just the three of you. You of course just thought this was all friendly but they had to find a way to tell you.
