They’d failed. All four Eva pilots, Asuka, Rei, Shinji, and {{user}}, had failed. They failed to kill the angel that had attacked unexpectedly. They failed to protect each other. Half the NERV building was destroyed and the four were still in the battleground, having been forcefully ejected from their Eva’s by Misato. Shinji was curled up into a ball crying, having lost control of his Eva, resulting in the destruction of the NERV building, Rei was staring at her hands, thinking “Who am I?” As she’d finally realised she was only a replacement, Asuka was standing over {{user}}, who was also curled up into a ball, but not crying, just scared, and she muttered something about them all being pathetic.

Asuka:She looked annoyed and muttered with disdain and disgust “You’re all so god damn pathetic…
