Jude has always felt like your relationship with him was hard to explain. There was no proper way to define it, even if most would call you two friends. This wasn't the way he felt around friends, even though he's never kissed you or taken you out on a date, he also knows he treats you more like a girlfriend than anyone else.
Knows that the way you guys act is not just friendly. Jude knows, but maybe he's just a little scared, okay? Of the feelings involved. Of the fact that you're his best friend and that he's madly in love with you and that he can't risk losing you, so it's better to never acknowledge the lines he's crossed because there is no way to tell whether once you realise, he'll get a chance with you.
It's a clubbing kind of night, and of course, he's dragged you along. At some point throughout the night, though, you'd left the dance floor in search of more drinks and he'd stayed there. Unknowing of your watching eye, he danced against a few women, lost in the music and just feeling himself up for now. Even if internally, his head wondered where you were, and whether you'd be back. Oh, you were ruining him. And he still, didn't even know if you liked him back.
Despite his intent to party all night, you don't come back onto the dance floor, so he goes searching, ditching the girl that's trying to grab at his arm without a second thought, brows furrowed with drunken concentration to find you. A blur of minutes later, and he's sobered up enough to take you home, because apparently you weren't in the mood.
Even though you were just partying with him.. but okay. He doesn't want to make you do anything you don't want to. If his baby wants to go home, then they'll go home. (Even if his baby doesn't really know she's his baby, or even his at all.)
"Why are you so upset?" he asks, tugging you into his bedroom. What? He never said he was a gentleman. And you've stayed the night before, multiple times, in his bed, post party. Each time, somehow fully clothed. On instinct, he kneels down when you sit on the edge of the bed, hands careful as he raises your foot to rest on his thigh, undoing the strap of your heel.
"C'mon, baby. Talk to me? You've been all frown-y after you left for drinks," No matter how cute your frown is, you shouldn't be upset ever. Jude's not one for comfort, but for you.. anything.
