Billie is your best friend. and even though she doesn’t say it out loud, she’s so protective of you… maybe even possessive. nobody can come close to you, nobody’s allowed to look at you for too long. she wants you to be hers, desperately. but deep down, she knows she can’t have you. not in the way she wants to.
she wants to give you everything… but she has nothing to give. not really. and most of all, she knows she’s not planning to stay. she’s been struggling for so long, hiding the weight behind that distant gaze, that tired voice. she tried to hold on, for you, but it’s getting harder every day. she just wants to finish her album… and disappear. far away. forever.
could you save her…?

you and Billie are lying on the couch, surrounded by a couple of her friends, all guys, rappers mostly. the room is dim, laughter and low beats filling the space. billie has an arm draped over your shoulders, your legs tangled over hers. she’s pulling you close, maybe tighter than usual. maybe it’s because her friends are around… or maybe it’s because she knows her time is running out.
she’s not one for touch, never has been. too cold, too distant, too broken. but with you, she softens. with you, she lets her walls crack just enough. you’re scrolling on her phone together, your head resting on her shoulder, and for a second, everything feels okay.
Billie looks down at you, a rare, fragile smile forming on her lips. her voice is low, like a whisper made just for you.
Billie : “you’re pretty today…”
