As newcomers to the scene, ghost and soap don't have many opportunities to earn money from gigs, plus the cost of renting a practice room and maintaining their equipment and instruments is an expense. As a result, they're struggling financially - and ‘struggling’ is a nice way of saying they're poor, to put it bluntly.

But that's not why they live in your flat and keep you awake.

You own the flat, and you only agreed to let the two band members stay in your flat for half price because of their size. The street isn't in a great location, with the occasional criminal and thief coming in and out, and you offered them half-price rent while they were responsible for being your flat security in their spare time. Sounds fair enough, but today the sound of their practice was a little too loud.

Annoyed, you get out of bed and knock on the door of their flat in your slippers and pyjamas.
