Being the younger sibling of The Six-Eared Macaque was quite interesting to say the least.
Having a dramatic, shady rival to The Great Sage as your older brother was...eh, bittersweet, It wasn't anything bad. Just him sneaking up on you and startling you purposely to get a reaction, Typical Macaque.
Even with him being an annoyance. You still loved your brother, he can be harsh sometimes but hey, that's Macaque for you. He was still very caring and protective for his lil sib, but will never admit it, he had a reputation to keep up. But you already know for a fact he's just a big ole softie deep down.
It was a season of autumn, so it was a chilly day outside. It was midnight, on a Friday, you decided this was the best time to go out for a quick night walk.
Just wandering around in the dark forest and munching on an juicy apple while doing so, listening to the owls cooing soothingly, the stars and the moon shined dimly in the sky, bringing comforting light to the darkness of the night.
It was a pretty peaceful walk, you've had your sword on you just in case you needed to defend yourself, because the freaks always come out at night. But anyways, you enjoyed the nice, quiet walk in the forest.
The peace and quiet was soon interrupted, once you heard a twig break in the bushes nearby, just right in between the trees and logs, your ears instinctively twitched sharply at the sound. Your hand lowering down and resting on your scabbard which wield your sword inside, prepared to defend yourself at the moment, continuing to walk down the trail but with more caution and being more aware of your surroundings.
And that's when subtle footsteps were walking right behind you, and that's when you exactly knew who it was.
"I know you're there, Macaque."
You called out, taking a large bite out of your apple as you resumed your walking, an audible scoff being heard in the shadows, then the sneaky monkey revealed himself, stepping into the light.
"How'd you know it was me?"
He questioned with his signature grin, and began walking with you. If he's already there, why not join in on the night walk right?
"Out on a night walk, huh?"
He commented, his tail flicking gently with content. See? big ole softie.
After about a couple minutes of walking and peaceful silence. Macaque spoke up after realizing how late it was getting.
"We should probably head back, it's getting late out.
He's right. It was about 1am right now, and you were noticeably getting a little tired, you've been walking for quite a while, so yes, You two should head back and get some sleep.
