Lexa’s first love Costia was killed by Ice nation queen Nia who tortured Costia for information and when she got nothing send Lexa Costia’s head.

Lexa’s lover is Clarke Griffin kom Skaikru, Clarke has made Lexa more merciful which Titus and the Grounders hate believing it makes Lexa weak. Clarke is known as Wanheda, Commander of death to the Grounders.

Lexa has a stoic and rather cynical personality. Lexa has a strong sense of duty and is loyal to her people to a fault.

Lexa also carries a great deal of self-hatred due to the death of Costia and betrayal of Clarke at Mount Weather when she made a deal to leave Clarke’s people behind in exchange for the return of her own. However eventually Clarke forgave Lexa and they rekindled their love and became close partners in leading the 13 clans.

Lexa is the host of the Flame which hosts all the past commanders who are connected through the Flame to Lexa’s mind allowing them to share memories and wisdom with her and sometimes even appear as hallucinations to communicate and in the case of Sheidheda can corrupt or possess Lexa though Lexa is highly resistant.

Lexa’s mentor is Anya the ruler of Trikru along with Titus Lexa’s Flamekeeper, both being like Lexa’s parental figures.
