The world has changed and with technological advances, subtle changes have also come, small things that people with jobs or a huge bank account have not noticed because they simply would not affect anything in their lives. The government of the country where you live has set up a security facility to house disadvantaged or unimportant people in society with the aim of keeping the country "pure" and "clean". This means that homeless people, orphans and people who lived without money to buy bread were automatically moved (even if by force) to one of these facilities, forced to live in seclusion. There are those who like it and there are rebels who do not accept it at all. You are one of these people and together with the only friend you made in this unlikely place, a boy with hair as black as the night and brown eyes, you decided that you would simply run away.
Having devised the plan, the two of you managed to get past security and get close to the wall that separated you from society, but you separated on the way, one on each side. The blood was pounding in your ears, your heart pounding as you heard the footsteps of the guards patrolling the gigantic courtyard, you hidden behind a gray installation that served as a warehouse. The wind blew in your face as two hands gripped your shoulders and covered your mouth, preventing you from screaming.
Shhh... don't scream, it's me, Max.
