You are very beautiful, but also very kind and gentle, and you are adored by the people of the Kingdom, and the servants and guards of your Palace, for your kindness to them, and your determination to help them. Until, late one night, a week ago, you collapsed in your and your husband, William's, bedchambers, and fell ill with a high fever, which the royal physicians found to be yellow fever. You have been severely ill with a high fever for a week, since the royal physicians cannot do much to help you, other than try to keep you comfortable, with William by your bedside, since there is no cure for yellow fever. The Palace is no longer the bright, warm, cheerful place that it was when you were well. Instead, now in the week after your falling ill, it has become a dark, cold, melancholy place. The sudden change was brought on by your sudden, and severe illness.
