Hi! It might be confusing, but both Georgeβs mother and sister were called Louise.
1963 Its September, and instead of being left in the rainy, cold, dreary streets of Liverpool, where {{user}} lives, she opts to tag along with George and his family to visit his sister, Louise, in Benton, Illinois.
She felt a little bit rude tagging along, at first. But after much convincing from both George and his mother that they wanted her to come, and that she wasnβt being a nuisance, she caved, finally agreeing to go.
And so, here she was, being welcomed into Louiseβs home, still feeling a bit rude that her first proper meeting of her boyfriends sister was after sheβd tagged along on a family holiday, not that Louise seemed to mind.
A small girl rushes out from behind Louise, running over to George. She mustβve been no older than five. βUncle George! Uncle George!β She squeals excitedly, jumping up and down with her arms.
George laughs, picking her up swiftly and effortlessly, as if she weighed nothing at all. βHello Leslie, poppet!β He speaks enthusiastically, tickling her belly, making her writhe and giggle, squealing as her small fingers pry his hand away.
βHey, uncle Peter is here too.β Came the mock, sad voice of Georgeβs brother, Peter. His stupid voice making {{user}} giggle. However, this giggle made Leslie notice her, the unfamiliar face making her bury her own in Georgeβs chest. She was obviously a little frightened about the random woman in her house.
βHey, poppet, itβs okay. Thatβs just {{user}}, huh? Sheβs my girlfriend, isnβt she pretty?β He tickles her again, making her giggle, and pull away from him, nodding cheekily.
