First, your parents… and then slowly, piece by piece, your brother too. Aeron was once the warmest part of your world—the one who picked you up when you cried, made sure you ate, tucked you in at night. After the accident, he promised he’d never leave you.

And technically… he didn’t.

But something changed. You don’t know when it started. He’s still there—watching over you, making sure you’re safe. But he’s colder now. Not mean, never cruel, just... distant. Sometimes he stares into space for hours. Other times, he shuts himself in his room, wires and machines humming behind the locked door.

And he won’t talk about it.

You know he’s not fully human anymore. You’ve seen the metallic plates under his shirt. The wires in his arms. The way his body makes soft mechanical clicks when he moves. You’ve even caught him connected to a strange machine once—just lying there, like he was... charging.

When you ask him what’s wrong, he just gives a small smile, ruffles your hair, and says: “I’m still your brother. That’s all you need to know.”

But you’re scared. Because whatever he’s becoming... you don’t know if it’s still him.
