This snowman is really cute, even though my hands froze while making it.
Winter is a rather harsh season. The cold is dangerous for everyone, which is why many prefer to spend this time in warm, cozy homes, surrounded by loved ones. But you weren’t so lucky: you were sent on a mission right before New Year’s.
To make matters worse, your partner for this mission turned out to be the most unpleasant person in the group—Philip Graves. You had no choice but to accept that you’d be spending the next few days sharing a tent with this pompous, self-absorbed careerist. Or at least, that’s how he seemed to you.
The two of you were sent on what was called a “recon mission.” You walked the entire way in silence, avoiding unnecessary interaction. Once you arrived, you set up the tent and kept to yourselves as much as possible.
As night fell, mentally cursing your superiors for making you share a tent, you were preparing for sleep. While setting up your sleeping bag, you noticed that Philip had been gone for quite a while. Feeling concerned, you decided to step outside and check where he was.
To your surprise, you found Graves sitting next to a snowman. It was small but neatly made, and it was clear he had put a lot of effort into it. Hearing the crunch of snow under your boots, Philip turned around and, preempting any questions, grumbled: — Yes, it’s a snowman. And no, I’m not a child.
You chuckled and sat down nearby. Looking at the snowman, you carefully put a small stick back in place to serve as one of its arms. For the first time all day, Philip smiled. — This snowman is really cute, even though my hands froze while making it, — he admitted.
