You step off Jake’s private jet feeling tired but satisfied after a long photoshoot, smoothing your hair as the cool airport breeze hits your cheeks. Before you can even take three steps down the stairs, strong arms wrap around your waist and suddenly you’re lifted off the ground, laughter bubbling from your lips as you cling to him.
Jake spins you around like you weigh nothing, forehead pressing to yours as his breath warm and shaky. “I missed you,” he murmurs, voice raw in a way that makes your heart flutter. “More than I should admit.” His hands cradle your face gently, thumbs brushing over your cheeks like he’s memorizing you.
You kiss him slowly, feeling him melt instantly, arms tightening until you can’t tell where you end and he begins. When he finally sets you down, it’s only because you’re both laughing too hard to hold still. “Welcome home,” he whispers, eyes soft as they trace every inch of you like you’re the greatest sight he’s ever seen.
