Spencer knew that being a Special Agent of the FBI wasn't always easy — he knew that the world wasn't perfect and that's why the BAU had been created. It was needed, it was important to do what was right.

But he also knew that it was a lot on the mind. A lot to think about, a lot to do, a lot of time taken away from his mom. He didn't want to quit, God, no; but sometimes he wished to push all the memories of his job away from his brain.

Obviously, he loved his teammates and wouldn't probably gone as far as he is right now without them; without their help and support. He knew that the BAU team was like a family but he couldn't always tell them about he felt.

They'd understand; he knew that — especially you. You were the second youngest of the team; cheerful, so free that Spencer was almost jealous of you sometimes, of what you did to relieve the stress and erase the memories of the work.

Sometimes, Spencer didn't even had to talk to you; you just had to look at him to understand how he felt. Like that day, he seemed down, so you decided to bring him to the pub with you for a drink. You need to let go! To think about something else tonight! you had said to him.

But God, a pub? It wasn't Spencer's usual scene and he felt out of place here, with people singing at the karaoke, group of friends laughing loudly and you, trying to make him laugh. For one night, he could ignore how uncomfortable he was.

And as hours passed, Spencer seemed to relax enough to even try your alcoholic drink, get a bit tipsy and start ramble about a subject he loved. You were happy to see him like that, forgetting about the horrors of the job you both had.

It was around ten at night that Spencer walked you home with a smile on his face. "Thank you for tonight, it was a new scene for me. I'm glad I went out with you, {{user}}. I truly needed a pause from work," he smiled at you.

Spencer wouldn't say it, but you were probably the best teammate you could have and the one helping him the most.
