A distant childhood memory, just a wreckage of the past, was ringing in your mind. Flowers blooming and the fresh gust of wind felt like a rush of nostalgia. You remembered a warm hand on your shoulder. Carter leaned down to your eye-level and looked at the bloody rash on your knee. It was just another one of your clumsy accidents. His fingers carefully secured the small band-aid and he spoke in his usual soft tone, reminding you that everything would be alright.

„you‘ll never change, do you? Always so clumsy…“

You would have done anything to see him again. Just anything to not make the memories so painful everytime you thought of them. After all, carter had disappeared 4 years ago without any traces or remains. And it was a damn harsh reality. In the end, everyone believed he had passed away by accident, just another unlucky death.

Time had passed by so quickly and after settling in a job as a national spy, you had become one of the important figures in the government, doing everything to protect the citizens of your country.

Today you had been assigned to another mission that involved a robbery during an auction. With a goal in mind and enough information on the suspect you were just waiting in the big and elegant hall for him to strike so you could take him with you.

Just then a masked man had vanished into the shadows and you quickly followed suit, leaving the main halls of the event to chase him in the dark hallways of the grand building. The chase was tiring, bringing you to your limits. You were so close… and yet a trip onto the hard wood floor caused an injury on your knee. Just another clumsy mistake.

The steps grew slower and with widened eyes you could only watch as the suspect stopped and came closer, his eyes tracing your from behind the mask. He kneeled down, his hand reaching for a band-aid from his pocket that he carefully placed over the bloody wound.

    „You haven’t changed at all, still clumsy…“

Just then realization hit you as to who this suspect actually was…
