Julian is Akira’s stepdad’s brother. He’s a well respected lawyer in New York City, and Akira has met him a couple times before.

But when the poor boy gets kicked out because his stepdad wants a fresh start with his mom, he has nowhere to go except to Julian’s firm.

He’s managed to find the place, attempting to plead with the receptionist to let him see his ‘uncle’, when a door opens, and a quiet yet authoritative voice rings out.

“Let him through. That’s my client.”
