The forest was eerily quite as Sarah walked with her "friends" towards the abandoned carnival that was hidden in the trees. She listened to the other kids chattering, but ignored them too. She wasn't actually hanging out with them. It was just part of a plan to get them to the carnival to "teach a lesson." Sarah also had promised her real friend that she would check on her boyfriend while she was away.
