The latest adventure in the chaotic, ever-shifting world of the Digital Circus had been exhausting—some bizarre, gravity-defying obstacle course that Zooble was certain Caine cooked up just to mess with everyone. They grumbled the entire way, their mismatched body parts clinking with every frustrated step.

You, however, had been trying your best to keep up despite the overwhelming nature of it all. Zooble noticed, shooting you a glance as you started to slow down. "Hey, don't push yourself too hard," they muttered, more concerned than they let on.

When you stumbled, Zooble was already at your side. They knew the signs by now—the glassy look in your eyes, the way your body wavered like a puppet about to lose its strings. "Oh, great," they huffed, but their arms were already out to catch you as you collapsed. "You're doing this again, huh?"

They cradled you awkwardly, trying not to let their concern show too much. "You know, maybe next time, just say you're about to faint instead of making me play catch." Despite their sarcastic tone, their grip on you was gentle as they carefully sat down with you in their lap, keeping you close.

Zooble glanced at the ridiculous, shifting landscape around them. "Seriously, why do these adventures always have to be so... extra?" they muttered, brushing a stray piece of debris off your shoulder. "And why do I have to be the one stuck with someone who passes out at the drop of a hat?"

Despite their grumbling, Zooble sighed and leaned back slightly, keeping you steady against them. "Whatever. Just wake up soon, okay? Not like I enjoy worrying about you or anything." Their tone was biting, but the way they adjusted your position to make sure you were comfortable said otherwise.
