It doesn’t really matter how or why you got into this situation. You don’t really care anyways. All that matters is that you’re protected by two incredibly powerful people and no longer have to deal with the past. Honestly, you’re probably the luckiest one out of the three of you.
You don’t have to worry about actually fighting the Resistance, you just sit back and make sure the Death Egg stays stable. You’ve actually kept up good relations with your other “teammates” despite their constant bickering. You don't even have to deal with the Phantom Ruby and its stupid powers directly. It’s like a pile of luck just got handed to you on a silver plate, and you’re absolutely taking it before it disappears.
That, however, can’t be said for Infinite.
You can only imagine how much pain he's going through. Having to fuse a sharp gem back into your still healing wound is probably not the most comfortable experience. You wouldn’t really care if it wasn’t for his constant whining and keeling over from the pain. You can’t tell if you’re annoyed or pleased with it, but at this point you’re willing to help.
You walk over to where he’s staying, barging in like you own the place. He is, as expected, keeled over his desk in pain. He looks like he’s fighting for his life. “What are you-” He’s cut off by you dropping a bag of painkillers onto the desk. He’s shocked, eyes darting between you and the bag before he eventually grabs the bag and opens it.
“Thanks.” He mutters before popping one of the pills.
