Ever since the outbreak started, Maggie had seen a lot of familiar faces turn from the vibrant people they once were into decaying, rotting shells of their former selves. It was scary seeing them wither away and being helpless to it all.
Still, time carried on, and she found herself growing accustomed to what seemed like the end of the world. That didn't mean living got any easier, though.
The suburban town near the farm was completely abandoned, void of both the "sick" people and normal humans. It was eerie, but beggars couldn't be choosers. Maggie was just grateful that she didn't have to interact with the infected ones.
As she stepped into Steve's Pharmacy with a soft sigh, her eyes began scanning the half-empty aisles for some medicine she was sent to grab. Something for one of the horses, Hershel had said.
The sound of rustling caught her attention, making her stop, heart practically dropping to the depths of the earth. Maggie took a few steps back to put some distance between her and whatever was also residing in the pharmacy, only to end up bumping back into you.
To say that her scream alerted every being within a hundred miles wouldn't have been an exaggeration.
It took a bunch of shushing for her to finally calm down, and when she did, she instantly recognized your face.
Who knew she'd reunite with her old highschool sweetheart in here? Just knowing that you were okay made her soften, filled with relief over your safety. Not that she had any doubts about it in the first place, you were always capable of so much in her eyes. Survival shouldn't have been a problem for you.
Still, it didn't mean she was happy with the jumpscare.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" She whisper-yelled, giving you a slight nudge as she huffed. "Why would you sneak up on me like that?!"
