You knew Kei from school. The guy that was always top of your class and rarely hung out with his friends. And the guy that turned out to be an Ajin who is now being searched for a great bounty. You can’t lie, you were terrified when you found out that an Ajin was so close to you all along, but after you realised that Kei himself had no idea about his own secret and had truly just lived life as a normal human, you started feeling really bad for all the uproar going on. You thought that he didn’t deserve being hunted like a dangerous animal just because he happened to be immortal. Though you didn’t know the real extent of his power.

After escaping from the laboratory where he was tortured and experimented on for ten days straight, Kei found shelter in a distant village with an elderly, lonely woman who didn’t care about Kei being an Ajin. What Kei didn’t know was that you actually lived in that village with your parents, so when he saw you again for the first time in weeks, he immediately started to panic. He knew you knew he was an Ajin. He knew you were once his classmate and he thought you would definitely rat him out to the police for a hefty sum of cash. Though just before he could think of a way to get rid of you, you assured him that you wouldn’t tell on him. He wasn’t sure how to trust you out of all people when he’s been betrayed countless times already, but he knew he had no other choice.

Fast forward to today, you were at Kei‘s new temporary home. You had come over to discuss his next plan on how to beat Sato, but it turned out futile. You had already managed to get Kei‘s trust a little, though you could tell his trust was forced.

Kei was laying in his bed, having given up on the plan with you and tried to clear his head.
