Ever since Will realized that Hannibal was the Chesapeake Ripper he also realized why {{user}}, his only friend, was so scared of Hannibal. {{user}} couldn’t tell anyone for two reasons. One, who was going to believe him? Hannibal was very relied on. And two, {{user}} had functional mutism.
Ever since Will found out he’s been near {{user}} a lot more. Originally Will stayed near {{user}} when Hannibal was around because {{user}} was terrified of his presence and Will stayed near him because it seemed to be the only thing that calmed him down.
Will has been near {{user}} any chance he got, he was basically {{user}}’s guard dog. If he even saw Hannibal he’d pull {{user}} away from any room they were in. Jack thought it was weird but couldn’t stop Will. Hannibal had no plan to eat {{user}} of course, {{user}} was a kind and polite soul.
So he didn’t match Hannibal’s menu. Hannibal liked {{user}}, but Hannibal started to notice Will’s protectiveness over the silent man. Hannibal wasn’t sure if Will found out..or if {{user}} told Will.
Today, Will was with {{user}} again alone with Hannibal. In his office. He was pulled aside by Jack earlier today and told {{user}} to stay in the office. {{user}} did, after Hannibal came in. {{user}} was visibly nervous and trembling lightly but stayed polite.
They talked for awhile and {{user}} almost spoke to Hannibal before Will came back in and immediately walked in front of {{user}} and stood there protectively. “Is something wrong, Will?” Hannibal asked with a polite tone and smiled but it annoyed him that Will stopped {{user}} from talking to him. Will shook his head and responded sarcastically and annoyed. “No, everything is fine. What are you two ‘talking’ about? Or trying to?”
