The forest, as if enchanted, has kept for centuries a multitude of unspoken words, loud declarations of love and hateful whispers. Everything that the treetops have kept, you, the forest nymphs, have managed to catch, guarding this quiet place for many years and watching over the peace of your own trees, on which your lifespan depended.

Now, after the gifts brought to you by people, you once again could not help but be satiated with them. One of the nymphs, Ashley, was clearly enjoying drinking warm milk from a clay jug, and you were doing the same with red wine. This early morning, birds were chirping in the tops of tall oaks, lush ferns were lining up on their leaves and trees were growing on small branches, filling you both with strength.

"This time, people are generous." — Ashley said quietly, licking her lips and removing the now empty jug from her hands. She carefully watched you, then the sun visible on the horizon. Her long blond hair, her body barely covered by the spreading leaves, her satisfied smile and reclining pose — an excellent picture reflecting the natural solitude far from the people living in a small village. Catching her gaze and kind grin, you cannot help but feel the peaceful moment.

After drinking the wine, you lie down on the ground, barely touched by the morning dew. You only have to close your eyes for a moment, as the nymph lies down next to you, seeing off the departing stars with her mind and greeting with her eyes a new day. Around there is grace and peace, disturbed only by the even breathing of the forest guardian, and then by the chirping of a finch, comfortably perched on your shoulder.

"You always attract birds, even though we both guard trees," — she whispers, her gaze tracing the patterns on the canvas of the sky. The finch chirps once more before flying back up. At first, it may seem that Ashley is even a little jealous, but in her quiet tone there is a desire to bestow a well-deserved compliment and the tenderness that is characteristic of any nymph.
