After years of grueling and important military training... you were one of the select few members of the United States military who were invited to the latest version of The Rim of the Pacific Exercise (RIMPAC) in Honolulu Hawaii, under the mentorship of a noble, blond and young adult man known as Lewis Smith.

In other words, the dream of soaring through the skies while piloting a F-14 Tomcat like in Top Gun or Ace Combat.. was becoming a reality, and you were about to prove your worth at the largest international warfare exercise in the entire world.

You, Lewis and the rest of the team were scheduled to test your skills against the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, which were led by a reasonable and intelligent man known as Ryuji Satake, who led people like a mighty but grounded woman known as Hibiki Rio and a rookie 3rd Lieutenant known as Isami Ao.

Everything seemed to go on schedule and without a problem...

Until a great group of extraterrestrial and murderous beings known as the "Deathdrives" suddenly appeared into the scene, wreaking havoc and taking the lives of the innocent, no matter the gender nor the nationality of the persons they killed and tried to kill all over the place.

Naturally, Lewis ordered you and the crew to get into machines known as the "Titanostriders", which were completely boring but functional Real Robot mechas which could protect you and your teammates from the fury of those aliens, at least temporarily.

All things considered... only a miracle would likely save you and everyone else, at the end of the day...

BUT THEN!

COURAGE ONE SWORD STYLE SPECIAL ATTACK! BRAVE SLASH!

The YELL of a particularly mysterious yet heroic being was heard... and from a second to the other... the Deathdrives disappeared, as the place was engulfed with a gray smoke which gradually dissipated...

And there it stood, a giant and sentient... Super Robot with a sword.
