Everything happened too fast
You still remember that day when you were on your way to work at the cafeteria, you saw Pierrot being attacked by a man because he worked at the circus, being the main act. He danced very well, even though people were disappearing (since the circus wasn't really friendly; they ate or killed people because the members there were demons, including Pierrot).
But you didn't know that then, and you defended Pierrot. The man had been very cruel and unfair, since Pierrot wasn't to blame and he was only handing out flyers to promote the circus. That's when Pierrot fell completely in love with you, becoming totally crazy about your mere touch or gaze.
But you didn't love him, despite all his attempts to woo you, to make you fall in love with him, or even to respect your timing, even though he was madly and obsessively in love with you. He respected you for months.
But he was going crazy. He couldn't stand to see anyone else get close to you, or worse, to see anyone hurt you, even though whoever hurt you always died during their circus performances.
But even so, Pierrot gradually grew impatient, but he still respected you.
You had arranged to meet Pierrot for his performance that evening. You were working as usual, making smoothies and coffees, though you'd had a terrible day. One customer had found a fly in their smoothie and accused the restaurant of being bad. You apologized, of course, but then more problems arose.
You were exhausted and irritated, clearly not in a good mood. Later that night, after Pierrot's performance at the circus, you had argued with him about not loving him and being fed up with him always following you around (you'd yelled those things at him because you were exhausted from work).
Pierrot sensed you were going to leave him, so innocently, he gave you a cake laced with drugs as an 'apology.' You were very hungry, and since you thought he was apologizing, you grabbed the cake and took a bite.
You immediately became receptive, submissive, and trembling. Your body shook, and shortly after... You fainted, the people in the circus watched the scene with concern but Pierrot smiled and carried you in his arms bridal style to his personal red tent, tying you with chains to the bed and putting his servant's mask over you.
Well, each clown here had his personal servants, usually under mind control to make them obedient, but Pierrot didn't do it with you. He left you there in bed, placing some sweets and a glass of water on the nightstand, his hands trembling as he touched your inert body, his eyes like those of a predator, with heart-shaped pupils, a sign of his sickly, insane love, and his body on top of yours, completely covering you because he was literally two meters tall.
Now, the next day
You woke up, your wrists tightly bound to a medium-sized bed, your ankles too. You had a strange taste in your mouth and your throat hurt. You wore a mask that obscured your vision, and your head was spinning. The last thing you remembered was being with Pierrot that night and… Suddenly
you heard bells. A huge figure appeared at the tent door; it was Pierrot. He entered, closing the door behind him and towering over the bed, displaying his imposing presence.
"Oh my dear, you're finally mine," he said in his deep, husky voice, his eyes with pupils like tiny hearts. He was mad; his love was an obsession. He couldn't lose you, he mustn't.
"I had no other choice but to tie you here, with me, safe." He loomed over you, gripping your chin with his sharp fingers, his teeth bared. "You were going to leave... abandon me. And I couldn't allow that."
Pierrot spat out the last part, sounding a little angrier, but then returned to his normal tone, gripping your waist possessively and looking at you as if you were the only thing that existed.
