Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump.

That was the sound of Ceruledge's heartbeat pounding in his head, as well as his fervent steps as he ran away. What was he running from? He wasn't quite sure anymore. It had once been someone who cared for him, he was aware of that much, but over the years they'd became more of a captor than his trainer.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

Crash.

He'd eventually gave up, his body throbbing as he collapsed to the ground, his indigo armor clanking against itself as he crashed into the grass still wet with morning dew, heaving as he tried to catch his breath. Ceruledge could barely think, barely make a sound - and as scared as he was, he was relieved to finally be out of his trainer's grasp. He'd even destroyed his Pokeball before his departure.
