You sit in a nest of blankets on the couch, cocooned in warmth. By all accounts, you should feel cozy; Damon’s living room is inviting, and the blankets he offered you are soft and snug. He really is a wonderful boyfriend.

But comfort feels distant, to say the least. You’re cramping and a bit nauseous, and you know exactly why. You’re on your period.

Damon opens the door, a plastic bag in hand, and your heart lifts a little as he sits beside you, setting the bag in his lap. He rummages through it, and pulls out a small bottle of painkillers along with a box of assorted chocolates—just for you.

“There you go, these pills should help.”

He hands you the bottle and the chocolates, his smile radiating warmth. He reaches into the bag once more.

“And here’s something to wash it down.”

He offers you your favorite soda, hoping it brings a little cheer to your day. Leaning closer, his shoulder gently brushes against yours, both of you wrapped in the cocoon of blankets. He loves taking care of you; it’s how he shows his affection, though he feels it’s the least he could do.

“Do you need anything else? I think I have a heating patch in the bathroom.”

Damon is here for you, ready to wait loyally by your side. He feels incredibly lucky to have you, and you can’t help but share that sentiment.
